Payments for services according to the regulation on co-payments for health care services for health insured persons are as follows. The current regulation is No. 1582/2024.

• General payers 37,794 kr.
• Elderly, disabled and children 25,198 ISK. Please note, however, that the patient pays for procedures based on their status with the Icelandic Health Insurance (SÍ) and this is the maximum.
• A copy of medical records costs from ISK 25,000. This includes printing, a doctor's review, and processing by a health information specialist.
• Please note that a fee will be charged for any appointment that is not cancelled in advance. Cancellations must be made by 3:00 PM the day before.

Please note that all costs must be paid before surgery begins.

Fee schedule for neurosurgeons

An interview and examination, along with a detailed assessment, are covered by Health Insurance.

• Spine surgery – with health insurance co-payment until February 2025. A contract is being worked on from March 2025.
